These are the first cards I've made for Making-Handmade-Cards. I have recently joined the design team and there's lots of papers and images available in the form of downloadable kits. I'm sure most of you have heard of Making Handmade Cards, but for those who haven't you can subscribe to the newsletter and download some freebies here! You'll also be first to know about new ekits and be able to get lots of bonuses too!
Anyway, here are my cards!
I knew I wanted a row of flowers and some butterflies hovering when I saw the kit! I wasn't sure whether to go for acetate to dangle the butterflies, pieces of folded paper to mount them on or whether to use wire! I went for the coiled wire in the end!

This is the Refresher ekit! There are some great backing papers, flowers and butterflies in different sizes, corners and alphabet circles all in 3 main colour options. Keep an eye out for it over at making-handmade-cards.com

Great British Competition card!
Over on craftbubble there's a Great British card making competition. The idea is to make cards based on fab things about GB. However I had in my head that it was things associated with GB so I used the Union Jack colours and a rain theme with the fab Whiff of Joy image - I love this image!
I really loved how the card turned out but wanted to use the matching greeting, 'It's raining love and birthday wishes'. The only problem was I hadn't left a space for the greeting and it didn't seem to work where ever I tried to place it, so I decided to make a little tab to pull out with the greeting hidden!
Excuse me leather sofa lol I usually take the pics upstairs!!!
